Night turned to day as the knight looked ahead with great expectation to his impending rendezvous with the beast. At the hour, he set out deep into the heart of the battlefield, towards destiny as it seemed to him. The sky, a pale blue, looked down upon him as he joined the other humans just outside The Chamber of The Beast.
The disciples of the beast scrutinized the humans to see if they were fit to fight the beast. Those eligible, including the knight, were ushered into the lair of the beast. There they were first identified by those unique marks, belonging to the index, each one possessed.
After a substantial wait, the knight and all the other humans, caught a glimpse of the beast, as it extended its tentacles, which would either sap all the energy out of them or rejuvenate them. Out came one tentacle first, gave hope initially and then suddenly began the rejecting humans. The knight was getting ready to face that one tentacle, when suddenly more sprang out and the battle coordinator sent him to a different tentacle.
That tentacle seemed a mild one, and the knight tackled it with relative ease and within a minute, he had conquered the 'beast', so to say, within him.
